I did it! Well mum and I did it. We recovered a chair for Millie and she loves it.
My mum originally covered the chair for me to use when I was little. Anyway when mum was cleaning out the shed not long ago she found the chair and brought it out here to me.
I'm not going to lie, this chair took us a few days (a couple of hours at a time) to finish. But we are both so pleased with how it turned out.
Now I need to find some other great fabric to use to cover the chair in our spare bedroom.
Yay I finished a project.
I saw a blog post by Wild Olive today which gave a tutorial on how to do pistil stitch so tonight while we were watching some 'Bush Tucker Man' I decided to give it a go.
This was also a bit of fun for me because on 4 July 2012 my husband and I were in New York and sat on a closed off piece of highway to watch Macy's fire works.

I really enjoy going to my craft group each week. Not only are the ladies absolutely lovely we also tackle group projects which are both fun and meaningful.
Recently one of our members has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer. To help this wonderful lady and her friends raise money for their entry into 'The Weekend to End Women's Cancer' a few of us have embellished a 'bra block' which will make a black white and red themed raffle quilt.
Tonight I finished my block. Ta-da
